Ursula Holder

Born and raised in California, her early background consists of all things “creative” painting, sculpture, dance, design and fashion.  After spending 14 years in the fashion industry, she graduated from Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica in 1991.  She started her career at “Fred Segal Beauty” from it’s inception in 1992 until they closed their doors in 2016.  It is here where she has honed her craft and has become a leading stylist with an exceptionally loyal following / clientele.   Her “forte” or cutting style is ‘free hand cutting’, working with the natural texture of the hair, turning technical into current, modern, and contemporary styles.  “Balancing weight and no weight inside the structure of the cut.”  She is a master at free form dry cutting, giving cuts texture and movement, as well as, versatility during the grow-out period.  “For me. it’s about the details to give it that edge.”   Her color and highlighting trend towards “pretty and natural”.  Using skin tone, eye color and hair type to dictate the color palette that will flatter the face.  She references her highlighting techniques to that of “kids hair” that has been kissed by the sun.  And for her styling, “Messy, Sexy, Simple and Modern, and always on trend with fashion and the “look” of the moment.”
